Sodium fluorosilicate is a basic fluoride salt produced as a byproduct of phosphorus chemical industry. It relies on four core chemical characteristics: slow-release fluoride ions, low-temperature melting aid, solidification promotion, and antibacterial and anti-corrosion properties. It covers industries such as building materials, ceramic glass, fluorine chemical industry, mineral processing, anti-corrosion, electroplating, water treatment, etc. It is divided into seven major sections for explanation:
1、 Building materials industry
1. Water glass acid resistant adhesive/mortar special coagulant (core use)
Slowly reacting with sodium silicate to precipitate silica gel, gradually solidifying into shape; After hardening, it is dense and resistant to various inorganic acid corrosion. It is used for acid resistant flooring, acid pickling tanks, anti-corrosion equipment lining, and acid resistant brick masonry in chemical workshops.
2. Concrete/cement quick setting and mineralization additives
Quick setting agent for repairing concrete in tunnels and mines, accelerating hydration and rapidly improving early strength;
Cement clinker mineralizer: reduces firing temperature, promotes the formation of tricalcium silicate crystals, and saves coal;
Hydraulic concrete admixture: improves compactness, waterproofing and impermeability.
3. Refractory materials and stone protection
Refractory castable flux, reducing sintering temperature; The surface of the stone is sealed to form a fluorine-containing silicon protective film, which is resistant to pollution and weathering.
2、 Glass, ceramic, enamel industry (dual function of milky white and melting aid)
1. Milk white glass opalescent agent
Melting decomposition releases SiF4, forming tiny bubbles/fluoride microcrystals inside the glass, making the glass even milky white, which is used for white wine bottles, lamps, and decorative milky white glass.
2. Ceramic glaze and enamel flux
Reduce the melting temperature of glaze, improve the fluidity of glaze slurry, and achieve a smooth and high gloss glaze surface after firing;
Plays a milky white covering effect, covering the base color of the body and enhancing the delicacy of enamel and ceramic tile glaze;
Improve the acid and alkali resistance and wear resistance of the glaze layer.
3、 Fluorine chemical basic raw materials (preparation of other fluorides)
Reacting with soda ash to produce sodium fluoride, which is then further processed to produce artificial cryolite (aluminum electrolysis), potassium fluoride, and fluoride chemicals. It is the core raw material in the fluorine industry chain
4、 Mineral processing flotation adjuster
Mineral activator: slow-release fluoride ions peel off the surface oxide film of minerals, improve the adsorption effect of collectors, and increase the metal recovery rate.
5、 Anti corrosion, agriculture, rubber industry
1. Wood/leather preservatives
Penetrating wood fibers to prevent the reproduction of mold, insects, and ants, and providing insect and anti-corrosion protection for outdoor wood structures and leather; Toxic, contact with food and wood is prohibited.
2. Agricultural insecticides and defoliants
Production of fluorine-containing insecticides for pest control in agriculture and forestry, as well as pre harvest defoliation of crops.
3. Natural latex coagulant
Add natural rubber lotion to quickly destroy the colloidal stability and promote rubber coagulation and precipitation.
6、 Electroplating, metal surface treatment
Additives for galvanized, nickel, and ternary alloy coatings: refine grain size, uniform and dense coating, and stronger adhesion;
Aluminum and aluminum alloy are treated with matte finish to obtain a uniform matte metal surface.
7、 Water Treatment and Daily Chemicals
Fluorination treatment of drinking water (compliant low-dose): fluoride supplementation in water bodies in fluoride deficient areas to prevent dental caries;
