1、 Fluorine chemical industry
The core raw material for preparing hydrofluoric acid. Calcium fluoride reacts with concentrated sulfuric acid to produce anhydrous hydrofluoric acid; Hydrofluoric acid extends further downwards:
Refrigerants (R32, R134a);
Fluorinated chemicals: diethylamine, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), fluororubber, fluorocoatings;
Lithium battery materials, electrolytes, lithium hexafluorophosphate;
Fluorinated intermediates in pesticides and pharmaceuticals
Produce aluminum fluoride and cryolite for use as electrolytic aluminum flux. Cryolite reduces the melting temperature of alumina and is an essential material for electrolytic aluminum production.
2、 Steel and Metallurgical Industry
Steelmaking: as a fluxing agent. Add to the furnace to lower the melting point of slag, improve the fluidity of slag, remove sulfur and phosphorus impurities, and enhance the purity of molten steel; Higher usage is required for the production of special steel and stainless steel.
Nonferrous metal smelting: Separation of slag and metal melt during copper, lead, and zinc smelting processes.
Casting industry: used as an additive for casting sand to reduce porosity defects in castings.
