Perfluorohexanoic Acid

Perfluorohexanoic acid (PFHA) is a perfluoroalkoxy compound and a type of perfluorohydroxy acid. It appears as white flake crystals or colorless transparent liquid. Has high surface activity, good heat resistance, and chemical stability. Due to the restricted use of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), it can be widely used as a substitute for PFOA.

Perfluorohexanoic acid (PFHA) is a perfluorocarboxylic acid compound (a type of perfluorocarboxylic acid), appearing as white scaly crystals or a colorless transparent liquid. It has high surface activity, good heat resistance and chemical stability. Since perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) is restricted in use, perfluorohexanoic acid can replace PFOA and be widely applied.

Properties:
Perfluorohexanoic acid is a colorless liquid with a special pungent odor.
It has strong stability, is not easy to decompose, and has high surface tension.
Perfluorohexanoic acid is insoluble in water at room temperature, but miscible with many organic solvents.
Applications:
Perfluorohexanoic acid is widely used in fields such as surfactants, lubricants and defoamers.
With excellent cleaning performance and heat resistance, it is often used to clean electronic components, ceramic products and metal surfaces, and serves as a high-efficiency metal cleaning agent.
It can also be used in fields such as thickeners, dispersants, waterproofing agents, pharmaceuticals, and chemical intermediates.
The amine salt or sodium salt of perfluorohexanoic acid is an excellent anionic surfactant, and is one of the high-quality raw materials for synthetic resins (e.g., PTFE, PVDF, FEP, ETFE) and fluororubber (KFM).
The ester derivatives of perfluorohexanoic acid can be used as high-efficiency, high-resolution chromatographic stationary liquids.
